After a death, it provides a benefit payment to your beneficiary(ies) that can be used for funeral expenses, co-signed loan debt, future education, or whatever they choose.

New Hires VOYA provides Kern County a Group Term Life insurance plan with a guaranteed issue limit, if elected within 60 days of employment:
- Employees, up to $200,000
- Spouses, up to $50,000
- Children, up to $10,000
